I'm Francesca, and I blog about our family life in an ancient village in northern Italy, perched on a limestone cliff by the Mediterranean. My husband Tom and I moved our family (we have three kids) from a big city to this rural setting ten years ago, and in these years we've learned about life in a small community, gardening, and self-reliance. Tom and my journey together has been one that covered a lot of road, from work in the City of London to months of backpacking throughout South America, to academic life in Rome where I became an anthropologist, to becoming parents in Milan, and now to raising our three bilingual children in the country. My blog is where I chronicle more of our family journey.
I added a "Tool Box" tab to my navigation bar, just below the banner. Click on it, and you'll find an easy reference with links to most of the tutorials and tips I've shared here and at the Co-op, about crocheting, gardening, Italian family-style cooking, sewing and simple living. Hope this is a useful resource for you!
