I have to say that my sewing confidence was very, very low after the misadventures with my Clara dress. I decided that the best way to get over a sewing disappointment was a sewing triumph. So I made a dress for Rebecca ... using a Japanese pattern (once again from Girly Style Wardrobe).
Now, you'd think I'd have chosen a pattern in a language that I could speak, to make sure my sewing was in fact a triumph. But I didn't. However, after all the trouble with the Clara dress, sewing a Japanese pattern for a child (no bust darts for a start!) felt remarkably easy and straightforward.
I even knitted a cardigan to go with it, just because.
This little dress makes me smile, and has rebuilt my faith in my sewing.makes me feel a lot better about sewing.
