After making our Advent wreath last Sunday, I sat on the sofa by the fireplace all day nursing a cold, and sipping liters of rooibos tea with grated ginger. I did only one other thing: I crocheted a hat.
Well, make that three other things, because I made three hats (it was a bad cold, that required lots of sitting, hot tea and ... crocheting!).
PomPoms and Puffs Pixie Hat is such a cute, quick pattern, that as soon as I finished a hat for Rebecca (sorry for the silly photos, I wasn't up to shooting better ones), I decided to make a toddler size for a little friend:
After finishing that, I just had to make one more hat, a baby size this time, for the grand-daughter of the owners of the pizza place down the hill. I don't really know their family at all, but this is the only baby girl I could think of, and all babies born in winter should have a handmade hat, even if it's made by a stranger:
I should add that Rebecca helped me make them. While I crocheted the puffs, she made the pompoms. Despite my cold, it was a good Sunday!
