I wish I could tell you what these clusters of little orange berries and these leaves in different shade of red were exactly! They belong to some bush and vine that dot our roadsides here and there - I always keep a pair of pruning shears in the car, because I know that from time to time I'll see some pretty or unusual flora, and will stop the car to get a closer look and maybe a few cuttings (patient Rebecca usually just asks from the back seat, "For me too, please!"). Like in the case of this autumnal vegetation, which these days is giving one last burst of color before becoming winter food for the birds, and red kites that will drift about on the cold north winds.
I'll be making a wreath each month, using spur-of-the-moment inspiration and whatever nature offers me at that time.
