We got snow this weekend, the first snowfall of this year: announced by many (the doom-saying meteorologists), feared by some (me!), and eagerly awaited by others (my 6-year-old). Contrary to all expectations, it was a very wet, slushy snowfall: not heavy enough to stop our friends from coming for dinner (in their four-wheel-drive), not dry enough to entice out teen boys (who didn't change out of their pajamas all day long), but nonetheless white and magic enough for my little girl and her Daddy to venture out together in it, play with it, roll on it, eat it.
