It must really be autumn because we're spending more time in the kitchen baking. Yesterday, the oven was on for just over an hour, and our kitchen felt warm and cozy (among other things, we baked chocolate chip cookies, which for the longest time didn't make because chocolate chips aren't available in this country - until one day it dawned on me that if you "chip" a chocolate bar ... guess what you get?! Duh!).
