I get quite a few questions about what "FuoriBorgo" means, and last week, when someone asked whether it was my last name, I decided it was time to give a brief explanation.
Fuori = outside
Borgo = old town
Together they mean something like "Outside of Town": the last house before the woods, on the last road in the last village in the valley. That's where we live. And that's where I blog from, from a house at the edge of the woods.
Here's the summertime view from our house, looking South:
West:
North, the horizon just above our vegetable garden, of which I've posted many photos already.
We don't have a view from our windows looking East.
I find that "FuoriBorgo" also fits nicely with some of the less conventional choices that we've made in our lifestyle and in raising our children (you can read more in the About Me page).
