When the time came this week to move Rebecca out of her baby crib, there was only one place where we could turn to solve the spatial puzzle of how to fit another bed in the kids' room.
Once I got all the parts in situ - one by one up the stairs, taking several trips, because the box was impossibly heavy - I assembled an extendable bed with my daughter's invaluable help.
And then, I noticed something:
