I'm Francesca, and I blog about our family life in an ancient village in northern Italy, perched on a limestone cliff by the Mediterranean. My husband Tom and I moved our family (we have three kids) from a big city to this rural setting ten years ago, and in these years we've learned about life in a small community, gardening, and self-reliance. Tom and my journey together has been one that covered a lot of road, from work in the City of London to months of backpacking throughout South America, to academic life in Rome where I became an anthropologist, to becoming parents in Milan, and now to raising our three children in the country. My blog is where I chronicle more of our family journey.
